A little about us

I'm Barry Cohen and I'm a retired designer but most of the work on this site has done by friends of mine; we look upon creating websites as a sort of hobby and we co-operate on each other's. Some of us are writers, some are artists, but the majority are just creative people who can turn their hands to just about anything.

I grew up in Birmingham, where my parents had a textiles business. They produced dress materials for numerous manufacturers. Unfortunately, that trade collapsed in the late 1960s with the decline of the British textile industry, so my parents retired and I took an interest in dealing in artworks; paintings, sculptures, and other objects d'arte.

I had always had a keen interest in art, and I suppose it was inevitable that I should go into that business eventually. I wasn't sure at first whether I wanted to deal in art or be an artist myself, but in the end, I decided that dealing in art was more practical, and it was a business that I could enter into with relative ease.

I started out small, dealing in works by local artists, and then I gradually began to expand my operation. I now have a thriving business, dealing in artworks from all over the world. I have an excellent reputation, and my clients know that they can trust me to find them the best artworks at the best prices.

I am always on the lookout for new and exciting works of art, and I am always keen to help my clients find the perfect piece for their collection. I firmly believe that art should be enjoyed by everyone, and I am always happy to help people find the right artwork for their needs.

I love my job, and I am very lucky to be able to do something that I am passionate about. I feel very fortunate to have been able to make a success of my business, and I am grateful to my clients for their continued support.
